Do you know anybody who doesn't like waffles? Of course you don't! But there is so many ways, how to make them. The basic recipe is my favourite and that's why I posted my favourite recipe for you.

Breakfast / lunch or dinner?

It really doesn't matter! You can prepare amazing family breakfast with a lot of fruit, maple syrup and whipped cream. Then you can fry some chicken and serve delicious lunch/dinner!

Sweet vs. Salty

Usually waffles are prepared with a lot of sugar. But there is another option. Use a little less sugar and add some salt! Then you can serve them with some vegetables or Egg Benedict for example.


Serves: 4

Time: 25 minutes


1 and 1/2 cup / 180g plain flour

3 tablespoons sugar

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 eggs

3/4 cup milk

1/4 cup / 60g melted butter


step 1

Preheat your waffle iron to 200°C / 390°F.

step 2

In a large bowl mix dry ingredients together. In another bowl beat the eggs and whisk them with milk. Then pour it into your flour mixture and add the melted butter. Mix until smooth and let it chill for 10 minutes.

step 3

Now grease the iron with oil and then pour your batter onto hot waffle iron. Cook until golden brown and serve hot with maple syrup or anything you like.
